More than 60 percent of the parts of our vehicles come from our suppliers. Together with them we carry the responsibility for our product corresponding to the highest quality standards. At the same time we work on assuring the best price/performance ratio.
The Russian government set clear frame with the decree 166 and the regime of the industrial assembly for the increasing of the local content of the automobile production. According to the agreement on the industry assembly Volkswagen Group Rus is supposed to reach in the year 2015 30% localization of the production. Regardless of that we at Volkswagen Group Rus are interested at increasing the local content. We expect through that a reduction of the logistics and production costs.
We cooperate both with international partners and also with Russian producers. There is a supplier park in immediate proximity of the factory in the industrial area Grabtsevo, settlement of that we endeavor together with the Kaluga region. Also we are adjusted on cooperation with other manufacturers in Kaluga and region.
Our procurement team is both responsible for the purchase of all components needed for a vehicle, raw materials and assemblies, and also for the supply of the factory of operating equipments, services and capital goods.
