  • Wolfsburg, October 17, 2016 – The Volkswagen Group delivered 947,600 vehicles to customers in September, an increase of 7.1 percent compared with the previous year. 7.6 million vehicles were handed over to customers worldwide from January to September, representing a rise of 2.4 percent. “All passenger car brands recorded a positive delivery performance for the period to September. While the situation in Brazil in particular remained tense, there was significant growth on the Chinese market. There was also positive development in demand from customers in Europe”, Fred Kappler, Head of Group Sales, commented. “The increased deliveries make us optimistic we will be able to master the upcoming challenges. Reinforcing our customers’ trust in our products remains our top priority”, Kappler continued.

The Group presented its next steps on the road to becoming a globally leading provider of sustainable mobility on the eve of the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris.   • Braunschweig, 29 September 2016 – Under the umbrella of Volkswagen Truck & Bus,
    the MAN and Scania brands have determined clear principles for their joint
    development projects and have concluded a corresponding basic agreement. In
    future, teams consisting of engineers from both brands will develop core components
    of the drive train together. There will be common platforms for engines, gearboxes,
    axles and exhaust after-treatment systems that can then be modified by the particular
    brands. One of the two companies will take the lead for each project. The lead

  • Wolfsburg / Moscow: September 28, 2016. The Volkswagen Group and global mobility
    provider Gett announced their strategic partnership in May this year. Now, the first joint
    initiative is being rolled out with attractive vehicle packages in Moscow’s growth
    market. Gett drivers in the Russian capital can look forward to preferential terms when
    they choose a Volkswagen Polo Sedan, a Volkswagen Jetta, a ŠKODA Rapid or a
    ŠKODA Octavia.
  • Moscow, September 23, 2016 – The 100,000th 1.6 MPI engine of the EA211 series has left assembly line at the Volkswagen Group Rus plant in Kaluga. The company actively cooperates with major Russian suppliers in order to increase engine localization level.
