    provider Gett announced their strategic partnership in May this year. Now, the first joint
    initiative is being rolled out with attractive vehicle packages in Moscow’s growth
    market. Gett drivers in the Russian capital can look forward to preferential terms when
    they choose a Volkswagen Polo Sedan, a Volkswagen Jetta, a ŠKODA Rapid or a
    ŠKODA Octavia.
  • Moscow, September 23, 2016 – The 100,000th 1.6 MPI engine of the EA211 series has left assembly line at the Volkswagen Group Rus plant in Kaluga. The company actively cooperates with major Russian suppliers in order to increase engine localization level.
  • Wolfsburg, September 16, 2016 – The Volkswagen Group delivered 759,400 vehicles in August, an increase of 6.3 percent. 6.66 million vehicles were handed over to customers worldwide from January to August, representing a rise of 1.8 percent compared with the previous year. “All Group brands turned in a solid delivery performance in August and for the first eight months. That underscores customers’ trust in our brands. Our models performed particularly well in Asia-Pacific and Europe”, Fred Kappler, Head of Group Sales, commented, and went on to say: “Nevertheless, our task now is to strengthen and expand this trust, particularly in the North America region.”
  • Wolfsburg, August 25, 2016 – The new Group Consolidation Center KCC at Malacky near Bratislava was officially inaugurated yesterday. “KCC Bratislava is a further building brick of Volkswagen Group Logistics with a view to optimizing material transport. A sustained reduction in truck traffic of about 10% between KCC and the European plants and a reduction of about one third in the energy requirements of the building are two aspects that make the KCC efficient and environmentally compatible,” said Thomas Zernechel, Head of Volkswagen Group Logistics.
  • Wolfsburg, August 15, 2016 — The Volkswagen Group grew deliveries in the first seven months of the year by 1.3 percent compared with the prior year: 5.90 million vehicles were handed over to customers worldwide from January to July. 787,300 vehicles were delivered in the month of July. «Deliveries by the Volkswagen Group in July almost matched the prior-year level and continued the positive trend for the first six months. The Group’s broad brand portfolio is proving to be a great strength», said Fred Kappler, Head of Group Sales.
